Newsletters

As regular readers will know these newsletters have two main functions; to report on the regional network meetings and to highlight current public art activity and issues, with a focus on the south west region.

  • Spring 2008

    In this edition we feature a range of initiatives and schemes, including: a Plymouth focus, information on the new Architecture Centre for Devon and Cornwall and the Weymouth and Portland Cultural Olympiad. We also have further information on our newly established Planning Resource and our next meeting event.

  • Autumn 2007

    In this edition we feature a range of initiatives and schemes, including: reports on exciting work taking place in Dorset, Gloucester and Cornwall. We also have further information on our newly established Planning Resource and the next Regional Network meeting.

  • Spring 2007

    In this edition we feature various initiatives and schemes, ranging from: a report on the series of Creativity = Sustainability seminars organised by North Somerset Council; public art developments in Bournemouth and Poole; temporary public art projects in Plymouth and Groundwork South West’s exciting new plans.

  • Autumn 2006

    This edition contains information on a range of projects and initiatives, which we hope you find of interest: developments for Plymouth Waterfront - a PROJECT funded scheme; Gloucester Heritage and its newly approved Public Art Strategy; and developments with Bournemouth. There are also details of the next Regional Network meeting, which will look at Highway Design and how artists can have an impact on it.

    This edition contains information on a range of projects and initiatives, which we hope you will find of interest: General Public Agency's work in Dorset, the Barnstaple Regeneration Schemes, Zest: Arts for Health Project in Plymouth, the Artcare Programme in Salisbury and details of the next Regional Network meeting, which will address the complicated area of de-commissioning public art.

  • Autumn 2005

    This edition carries information on a range of projects and initiatives which we hope you will find of interest: a report from Weston-super-Mare on the range of exciting new projects taking place in the public realm, Canons Marsh in Bristol and the Barnstaple Regeneration Schemes in North Devon. Details of the next Regional Network meeting, which will be looking at the relationship between art and engineering, are also included.

    This edition features information on a range of projects that we hope you will find of interest; a report about Creating:Excellence, Devon Quality Design Initiative and decibel Legacy and details of our next Regional Network meeting, which is focussing on health and safety.

  • Autumn 2004

    This edition features information on a range of projects that we hope you will find of interest, including an update on PROJECT and engaging artists in the built environment, a report from our new Public Art Officer, Diana Hatton and details of our next Regional Network meeting, which is focussing on the role of craft within architecture.

  • Spring 2004

    This edition features information on a range of projects that we hope you will find of interest, including our next Regional Network meeting, which is an exciting collaboration with Public Art Forum.

  • Autumn 2003

    This edition features information on a range of projects including activity within Wiltshire, which is also the location for our next Regional Network meeting. We encourage you to use this unique resource for the region and look forward to meeting new colleagues at future meetings. Please keep in touch and let us know about your activities.
