Call for Expressions of Interest: Leicester Sculpture Exhibition 2013 - 'A Change of Heart'

Expressions of Interest are invited from sculptors interested in participating in the Annual Sculpture Exhibition hosted by University of Leicester in their Harold Martin Botanical Gardens, which will run from Sunday 30th June through to Sunday 27th October 2013.

2013 will be the 12th year of the Sculpture Show and the second time we have had Almuth Tebbenhoff FRBS as curator. The theme: ‘A Change of Heart’ highlights the importance of openness to change in the creative process and should be considered in proposed work. To reflect the cultural diversity in the region there will also be a particular focus on work by Asian artists.

To apply please send up to 9 images of 3 proposed outdoor sculptures (giving title, medium, size and date), a CV (maximum 2 pages of A4), an artist’s statement explaining how the work relates to the theme (maximum 1 page A4). If you are proposing an idea please submit a drawing with a short explanatory text (please do not send originals) and up to 6 images of related works.

Deadline: 5pm Friday 7th December 2012
