Lead Artist (Pooley Country Park), Warwickshire County Council

As a key part of the development of the Pooley Country Park site Warwickshire County Council are seeking a lead artist. The lead artist will develop a programme of community engagement to support and add value to the re-opening of the newly developed park and support the launch of the new commissioned public artwork "Gold Leaf" by Dalziel and Scullion.

The aims of this project are:

  • To engender greater local ownership and use of the Park and widen the offer to new visitors
  • To develop the role of the Park as a space to experience high quality arts
  • To provide new and creative ways for visitors to engage with the Park, in particular those visitors who wouldn’t usually engage with the arts in this part of North Warwickshire
  • To provide a creative vehicle to allow visitors to understand the history of the site.

HOW TO APPLY

If you are interested in submitting a brief proposal to express your interest in the project please submit your CV and artists statement plus the following information:

Your Approach: Please provide a statement describing how you would approach this project. How would you manage the community engagement process to ensure genuine involvement from the community? How would you manage the work to ensure the project remains on time and in budget?

Project Experience: Please provide examples of at least 2 comparable projects that demonstrate your experience and ability to initiate develop and deliver a high quality, creative community engagement project.

Fee Quotation: Please provide a total cost and a breakdown of costs. Quotations in excess of £12,000 will not be considered.
