Public Art Artist Opportunity – Bishops Castle, Shropshire

Deadline for submissions: 12pm, Monday 5th September 2011

Interviews: Week starting 19th September 2011

Total fee available: £16,000

SpArClife youth project based at SpArC leisure and arts centre in Bishops Castle is looking to commission an artist/artists to create an artwork/artworks to improve the appearance of the SpArC centre and better reflect its creative identity.

Whilst developing the design the artist will be required to involve a small panel of young people (the SpArClife Environment panel).

Artists will be selected under the following criteria:

  • Successful track record of design, production and installation of permanent high quality artwork in the public realm
  • Experience of working with young people to develop the design
  • A portfolio of past projects
