Cheshire East Council in partnership with The Co-operative Group, Kimberley Developments and Alsager Partnership would like to commission an artist to create a bespoke piece of artwork as part of a retail development reflecting the environment, community and heritage of the town of Alsager, Cheshire.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a public exhibition and interview process relating to their previous work and proposed concepts/ideas for this new piece of work on Saturday 15th September.
Following the selection process the successful applicant will work alongside the partnership and the local community to design, fabricate and install the artwork as a focal point for the new public square in April 2013.
