ixia has taken over the ownership and management of Public Art Online from Arts Council England. The design and content of the website are currently being reviewed.

Public Art Commission, North East Horley, Surrey, Bovis Homes

An opportunity to produce a new public artwork, or works, that are informed by the history of Horley and the surrounding area in Surrey. The works are to be located within the public open space to be provided as part of the phase 3 development of the new Brook Wood Development site in north east Horley. The work should take into account the full potential of the area and broader design of the Riverside Green Chain Park. The artwork should be informed by and reflect the location; an element of the design process should be to research the history of the area. The overall budget inc design, construction, & installation is £25,000. The artwork(s) should be:

  • innovative and create a sense of place
  • Use appropriate materials, durable and safe
  • Installed in liason with Bovis Homes
