Public Art Commission: Wyre Forest District Council

Deadline: May 4, 2012

Public Art Commission: Wyre Forest District Council

Wyre Forest District Council are looking to commission an artist to create a unique public artwork to be located at their new headquarters building. An all inclusive budget of £3,500k is available.

Wyre Forest District Council are inviting artists to make an expression of interest, after which they will forward a full copy of the design brief. The deadline for expressions of interest is the 4th of May 2012.

They will need to see images of your previous work, links to websites if you have one and a C.V. from which they will create a shortlist of four artists.

These four artists will be invited to create a brief proposal which the Council will use, with the images of work, to ask the new tenants of the building to select an artist to receive the commission contract and begin developing the design further. This consultation will have taken place by the 31st of May.  The chosen artist will be contracted by the 31st of May.

The chosen artist will be required to submit 3 design concepts to the panel who will select one for further development. Fabrication and installation will be complete by the end of September 2012.
