Deadline: September 18, 2015, 4:00 pm

Manchester City Council (MCC) is looking to award a contract for the development of design proposals for permanent site-specific public artwork at two key ‘Gateway’ locations in Northenden village.

This contract (Stage One), will also involve the development and delivery of a programme of creative community engagement involving local stakeholders, that will inform the development of the proposals.

The closing time/date for applications is 4.00pm on 18th September 2015. The Council may undertake, if deemed appropriate, meetings with tenderer(s) to clarify/verify their submissions.  This may be in writing or a discussion at Council premises. Short listed candidates will be asked to attend interview.

Budget

A maximum budget of £5000 excluding VAT is available for this initial Stage One contract.

Subject to MCC approval and the assessment of design proposals a further tender opportunity (Stage Two) will be available for the appointed organisation / artist to project manage the subsequent installation of designs / artworks. The budget for this work will be £2500 excluding VAT.

Funding of £32,000 excluding VAT, has been secured to realise the public art proposals for artwork across the two gateway sites, for fabrication and installation. The awarding of any Second Stage contract would again be subject to MCC approval and a successful outcome of Stage One.
