Public Art opportunity Great Western Park, Nr Didcot

The Vale of White Horse and South Oxfordshire District Councils have issued a request for artists to express an interest in being commissioned to design and create work within the façade and street furniture of the recreation pavilion.

The Councils are looking for experienced public art practitioners to work closely with their architects and landscape designers to design and create works to be engraved into or applied to the glass or render of the building or explore ideas for artwork to be incorporated within the paving/ curtilage of the building or the street furniture in the surrounding area (such as gateways, benches or bollards). Materials to be considered are lazer cut stainless steel, Quartzite, concrete, lighting, etched glass and/or laminate applications to the building.

This is for a research and design phase of the project, fees for this stage are negotiable up to £3000 with a creation budget of £62,000.
