Sculpture Commission - Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay

Cape Farewell is inviting international and UK based artists from all disciplines and ages to apply with a proposal for artwork for the Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay.
Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay will be the world's first, purpose-built, tidal energy lagoon, capable of generating predictable, renewable electricity for over 120,000 homes for over 120 years. A 16 km causeway, with tidal generators will be built out into Swansea Bay - creating a dynamic walkway complete with visitor centre, viewing platforms and sport and marine science stations.
- The artworks should interact, in some way, with the ambitions and significance of the Swansea Tidal Lagoon.
- The call is open for international and UK based artists
- deadline is the 8th of May
- three proposals will be shortlisted
- 2 shortlisted proposals receive a budget of £ 10,000 each to be further developed
- shortlist will be announced at Hay Festival (end of May)
