Celebrating 20 years of artists' commissions at Stour Valley Arts

Date uploaded: July 17, 2013

Reforest celebrates 20 years of Stour Valley Arts' artist commissions in King's Wood, Kent. Bringing together commissioned works, reconstructions and documents from the Stour Valley Arts archives, this exhibition explores the evolving story of the organisation and the range of artistic responses to this particular forest. Reflecting the changing nature of King’s Wood and the idea of forests, the exhibition transforms at its mid-point to discuss two specific themes of artistic response.

The launch starts at 12.30 on July 20th - with sparkling wine, soft drinks, nibbles and cake, and Stour Valley Arts will also be launching their new publications for 2013, Make Believe by Holly Story and Eclipse by Edward Chell.

The exhibition will then be open every Wednesday - Saturday from 11am - 4pm until 31st August.

To highlight the transformation of Reforest, on Saturday 17th August from 1pm will be an artists’ panel talk, hosted by Stour Valllery Arts curator Dan Howard-Birt.
