Experiments in Black and White

Neville Gabie has been commissioned to be the visual artist at this years WOMAD Festival. Curated by Jeni Walwin and Tammy Bedford, Neville will be showing existing film based works as well as making a new piece of work specifically for the festival. the festival runs from the 24th of July to the 27th of July 2014 at Charlton Park, Malmesbury, Wiltshire.

'Experiments in Black and White' is an exploration of four materials - ice, chalk, oil and air. These elements are fundamental aspects of the natural world and are variously contested and debated as we look to the future of the planet.

This project includes;

  • outdoor screening of short films
  • performance drawing
  • participatory project and talks
  • programme: collective breath
