sculpture network New Year’s Brunch 2012 – A Day for Contemporary Sculpture in Europe
Sunday 15th January 2012, 11:30am

At the beginning of this year over 800 friends of three-dimensional art met for the second sculpturenetwork New Year’s Brunch at 24 separate sites in 9 different European countries; all venues were virtually connected via video livestream. In the wake of this grand success sculpture network now extends an invitation to its third European-wide New Year’s Brunch – nyb`12 on the 15th January 2012. Numerous guests are expected to attend in 43 different cities around Europe and willl be connected on internet via video livestream.

The goal of this event is to create a day for contemporary sculpture in Europe and to promote and facilitate connecting and networking amongst all persons and institutions involved. This New Year’s Brunch takes place in artists’ studios, galleries, museums and cultural institutions – all of which are exciting and inspiring places. Hosts from fifteen countries have agreed to be hosts (from Germany, The Netherlands, Great Britain, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Belgium, etc.)

Aside from some 1,000 members of sculpture network, all friends of the arts and those interested are invited to come to meet artists, curators, art dealers and collectors. New public projects as well as recent works by artists of the different regions will be on display in showrooms; exhibitions, discussions and lectures on relevant topics of contemporary sculpture in Europe will round out the program.

sculpture network is treading new paths with this series of events and is creating an innovative and interactive platform for the community of three-dimensional art in Europe.
