The Slogramme Approach - Workshop and conversation event with artist Rebecca Beinart

July 7, 2015

UP Projects invite artists, curators, developers and local authority representatives to join them for an interactive workshop exploring the impacts of longer-term approaches to commissioning art in the public realm.

Forming part of the Floating Cinema tour from London to Bristol (and back) this event will take place on Tuesday the 7th of July 2015 from 6.30-8pm in Bristol’s Bathurst Basin, on board the Floating Cinema.

Artist Rebecca Beinart will lead a workshop and discussion asking participants to reflect on their own experiences of developing projects that aim to have a transformative impact on the communities they are situated in. Responding to the social and physical changes of regeneration agendas, the workshop will question notions of ‘place making’ and ask how we can find a narrative for the city that truly reflects those who live there.

This event is free to attend and travel bursaries are available to those wishing to attend from outside of Bristol. If you would like to apply for a travel bursary please email [email protected]

The Floating Cinema is an UP Projects commission for the canals and waterways of London and the South West.
