Context & inter-disciplinary collaboration are central to Annie's art practice. Works are produced in response to particular locations or situations, and range across a variety of public art forms - environmental/landwork, installation, digital media, design for print etc.
In 2000 she produced 'Pillow' in association with Hewlett Packard Research Labs, which was exhibited at Tomorrow’sWorld, Earls Court. 2002 projects include an exhibition & residency with Here nor There (HNT) at Kibla Multimedia Center, Slovenia and 'reverberations' a public art project for Locws International (http://www.locws2.com) in association with Nia Jenkins, a Welsh concert harpist.
Currently collaborating with musician/composer Roger Mills and Mobile Bristol (the Computer Science Department at the University of Bristol and Hewlett-Packard Research Laboratories, Europe) on a project for Millennium Square in central Bristol. Via GPS & wearable technology users will experience soundscapes dependent on their location.(http://www.herenorthere.org/msquare)
Annie is a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of the West of England, pursuing practice-based inquiry re. the relational & inter-disciplinary processes of producing artwork for specific contexts.
