Drawing for Whitefriars proposal by artist Janet Hodgson, 2004.

Artists were commissioned as an integral component in a development jointly funded and delivered by Land Securities and Canterbury City Council in a public/private partnership. The development created a new shopping centre in the city, with real streets based on historic street patterns designed with innovative architecture. Lead artist Janet Hodgson worked with Chapman Taylor Architects, site archaeologists, engineers and SWPA Ltd Art Consultants to influence design decisions from an early stage.
