NOILLY PRAT bi-annual sculpture competition

Deadline: February 23, 2009

NOILLY PRAT - the classic French aperitif - invites emerging artists in the UK to enter its bi-annual competition to create a sculpture for the home of NOILLY PRAT in the South of France. In 2009 the competition will be held in France, US and UK. There is a prize ofEURO1,000for each national winner and each national winner will go forward to the international competition, which will take place in Paris, France in March 2009. The overall international winner will be awarded a fee of EURO6,000 and the commission budget is up toEURO22,000to produce the final sculpture. The sculpture is to be installed in Marseillan early in 2010.

The aim of the competition is to create a sculpture, using natural materials that explore the qualities of the natural environment. The Final Sculpture must also refer to NOILLY PRAT’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship evident in its own brand.  In 2008/2009, the competition will have the theme of ‘air’ which is linked to the natural production process of NOILLY PRAT.
