Lottery Update
Along with the other English Regional Arts Boards, South West Arts is now managing two 'delegated' lottery schemes.
These are :-

the Regional Arts Lottery Programme - which provides grants of between £5,000 and £30,000 for arts activities.

the Small Scale Capital Fund - which provides grants up to £100,000 for the purchase of equipment and modest refurbishment.
This is a significant new development for the RABs as it allows for greater flexibility in responding to the needs of artists and arts organisations. The two schemes have regional priorities, which guide applicants in both setting out their case for funding and the relationship of their work to the aims and objectives of South West Arts. And unlike previous schemes, such as Arts 4 Everyone, there are no fixed deadlines and each region has a fixed budget up to 2001/2002. So far the response has been very positive with a high level of interesting and new ideas.
