Artist Commission, 'The Starfish Suite', Walsall
Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an artist or artists to work with them from November 2011 to February 2012 around the creation of pieces of artwork for their dedicated Child Protection Suite. This will include creative consultation and feedback sessions with groups of identified young people to help inform the design of the work.
It is roughly imagined that the artwork will be displayed on the walls of the centre and featured as follows:

A welcoming ‘signpost’ at the entrance to the unit

Work to enhance the main open area

Work with in two small waiting rooms to provide a relaxing and uplifting atmosphere

Other locations within the unit are possible and open for negotiation.
