Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council: Public Art Commission
Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council in association with the Arts Council NI and the Department for Social Development seek quotations from experienced and suitably qualified artists or design teams for the provision of an inspirational, contemporary piece of Public Art for Market Square/Castle Hill Street, Dungannon.
The total budget for the project is £85,000.00.
The Council wishes to create a unique, iconic, original piece of art work of land mark quality which will reflect the rich history and heritage of Dungannon and act as a focal point in the town centre sparking debate and discussion not just for the people of the Borough but also visitors to the town.
It is hoped the project will enhance the existing built heritage in the town centre and reinforce Market Square as a safe, ‘shared space’ area for and accessible to everyone, bringing many social, cultural and economic benefits to the area.
Contact the Council reception for the tender documents.
Telephone: 02887720300
Closing date for Artists ‘Expressions of Interest’ is 12.00noon on Friday 13th January 2012.
