Artist Commission Briefing Opportunity
The City & County of Swansea Council will be advertising an initial series of 4 public art commission opportunities in July 2013 with a total budget of £300,000, as part of the implementation of the Swansea Boulevard & Waterfront Connections Public Art Framework.
Applications for these commissions will need to be submitted through the Council’s e-tendering service.
The City & County of Swansea Council are keen to encourage high quality applications from artists, designers and makers with a critical contemporary practice and so are offering a Free Briefing Session for artists who may be interested in applying for these and future opportunities we’ll be offering through the Public Art Framework.
The Briefing Session will provide a chance to learn more about:
- Swansea’s Boulevard & Waterfront Connections Projects and Public Art Framework;
- How to apply for the commissions through the Council’s e-tendering portal;
- How to tailor your application for success.
The Briefing Session will be held at 10:30–14:30 on Friday 5th July 2013 in The Village Hotel, Langdon Road, Swansea, SA1 8QY.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
