Invitation: 'Reality Rules' smartphone/tablet game to play on Parkers Piece, Cambridge, 2nd-12th July

Date uploaded: July 9, 2012

The V I S U A L I S E public art festival in Cambridge invites you to Parkers Piece, where for the next 2 weeks, you can play a prototype game on your smartphone or tablet.

REALITY RULES (www.2bok.com) is a Visualise research and development project by Cambridge based contemporary artist Bettina Furnee and Cambridge based technology company Optricks Media. Together they have developed an augmented reality game, where you can create and vote for 'New Rules for a Fair Society' on this iconic public realm in the heart of Cambridge, home to the infamous 'Reality Checkpoint'.

Each day between 12noon and 2pm they will be on Parkers Piece for you to find out more about the project and play the game even if you don't have a smartphone or tablet. If you have your own phone/tablet then please come down to Parkers Piece at anytime, download the Wikitube app, and start playing.

Everyday Bettina is creating a limited handprinted letterpress print of the favourite 'rule' and giving these out to those of you she meets the following day.
