Artist/Designer Commission: Creative Interpretation, Royal Terrace Gardens, Torquay

Deadline: July 16, 2009, 5:00 pm

As part of the renovations of the Royal Terrace Gardens and Rock Walk in Torquay, Torbay Council are looking for an artist or designer to research and produce creative and inspired interpretation highlighting aspects of the unique area of Torbay and especially it’s status as a Geopark.  This interpretation will be located within the Royal Terrace Gardens and Rock Walk as part of the renovation project.

We are looking for artists to submit a CV, artist statement and visual examples of working practice to Sophie Scott at Ginkgo Projects by Thursday16th July.  Please submit hard copies of applications by post.

Interviews for short listed artists will be held on Wednesday 22nd July.  At interview artists/designers will be expected to give a short presentation on their practice and outline their response to the brief.  Artists will not be expected to have prepare project proposals at this stage.  You will be notified of whether you have been selected for interview by 5pm Friday 17th July.
