Bow Arts - Public Art Opportunity

Deadline: August 18, 2014, 5:00 pm

Bow Arts are currently inviting 'Expressions of Interest' for a new permanent public art commission in East London. The commission is for a permanent artwork or artworks to be installed on the boundary fencing between the new Bow School and the adjacent Limehouse Cut waterway in Tower Hamlets.

The full brief will be available for the selected shortlist only. Total commission value including all fees, materials, fabrication and installation will be £23,500 including VAT.

Shortlisted artists will be requested to consider the following themes and concepts:

  • Connecting Bow to the wider world – using the waterways as a metaphor
  • Bridging the past, the present and future of local people and place – spanning generations
  • Reflecting the make-up of the local community
