Creative Opportunities at West Offices, York 

Beam is delighted to have been appointed as Public Art Commissioning Manager by City of York Council through York Investors LLP to develop and deliver a new Public Art Commission Programme for the council's future headquarters - West Offices, York.

Following the successful and well-attended information sessions held on 28th July at Bar Lane Studios in York, Artist Briefs for the Public Art Commission Programme along with supporting information can now be downloaded from the Beam website.

Creative opportunities include:

  •  Permanent Commissions - Interior & Exterior
  •  Professional Mentoring - Opportunities for emerging public artists
  •  Creative Legacy - Exploring and establishing a space for future programming

Applications from experienced public artists and emerging artists, recent graduates or artists wishing to work for the first time in the public realm are welcome - those based in Yorkshire are particularly encouraged to apply. Artists applying for the Creative Legacy opportunity will work closely with university students in York.
