Gillingham Neighbourhood Plan Artist/Creative Facilitator, Dorset

Ginkgo Projects are working on behalf of Dorset Wildlife Trust, the N3 project steering group and Dorset Design and Heritage Forum to engage an artist/creative facilitator to work with Gillingham Neighbourhood Plan group. The aim of the project is to explore how creativity can be embedded into Neighbourhood Plans and other community-led planning documents, ensuring that the value of culture, creativity and cultural assets in the area are recognised in the Neighbourhood Plan developed. This piece of work should take account of how culture has shaped Gillingham, as well as identifying what creative opportunities there may be in the future.

The appointee will be in the role of creative facilitator and researcher, helping the community to access and use creative resources and people as part of the Neighbourhood Plan development process.

The project is part of N3: Nature Network Neighbourhood, a programme of six creative projects focusing on developing innovative creative responses in the public realm in Dorset.

There is a total budget for the project of £4,200 ex vat + £300 materials budget. This amount is inclusive of all expenses.
