Jubilee Gardens Permanent Public Art Commission

Deadline: April 6, 2012

Jubilee Gardens Permanent Public Art Commission
Deadline: 6th April 2012

To recognise and celebrate Bewdley Festival's 25th Anniversary, the Festival Trustees are commissioning a piece of Public Art to be installed in Jubilee Gardens as a gift to the Town. The Jubilee Gardens are situated in the centre of the Town. The commissioned artwork will celebrate the Festival’s 25th Anniversary and make a positive statement about Family, the Local Community and the Arts. The artwork must inspire and engage the  community as well as have visual impact and catch the eye of visitors to the area. Minimal maintenance and durability of the artwork will be a major consideration.

It is hoped that artists will approach the commission in an imaginative way so as to reflect ‘celebration’ together with the theme of Family,Community and the Arts.

Up to five artists will be short listed from submissions and will be invited to develop their proposals for presentation to the Trustees. If you are interested in this commission please send a covering letter outlining your initial idea and approach along with a provisional budget, your CV including two referees and images of previous work (hard copies please) to Roger Key, Chairman Bewdley Festival Ltd, Snuff Mill Warehouse, Park Lane, Bewdley, Worcs.
