Mining Josef Herman – Artist Opportunity
Deadline: October 1, 2014
The Josef Herman Art Foundation Cymru (JHAFC) is looking to appoint a participatory artist to work with the Mining Josef Herman Project Team from the 20th of October 2014 to the 30th of June 2015 to develop and implement a series of engagement activities, including 12 intergenerational workshops that will encourage local groups and individuals to access, engage with, and create their own responses to Tate’s archive, the JHAFC’s collection and the life, times and work of Josef Herman in Ystradgynlais.
The artist will shape the creative aspects of the project and the format of the workshops through their own practice and ideas. This opportunity forms part of Mining Josef Herman, a two-year partnership project between the JHAFC and Tate, as part of a wider programme called Transforming Tate Britain: Archives and Access.
