Deadline: January 27, 2012
Parkside Federation Academies S106 Public Art Commission
The City of Cambridge Education Foundation is a Trust responsible for the land and buildings that comprise Parkside Federation Academies. Coleridge Community College, one of the schools in the Federation, has seen a significant development in the last 18 months. The project budget includes a sum of money for the commissioning, production and display of a piece of public art.
The objective of the commission will be to produce a permanent piece of decorative art work that will form a feature in the entrance foyer of the Sixth Form building. The building is double height under a sloping roof. The artwork must create a sense of arrival to the auditorium and also make best use the natural light to provide an exciting and stimulating impression.
The budget for the project is £25,000 including VAT (if applicable). Please note that no fee is payable at the 'expression of interest' stage. Shortlisted artists (maximum of 5) will receive a design fee (incl. expenses) of £500, deductable from the overall project sum.
Closing date for submissions: 27th January 2012
