The City of Calgary Public Art Program is seeking a professional artist(s) with established public art experience for a permanent public art project at the new Trans Canada Highway/Bowfort Road interchange located in the northwest quadrant of Calgary.
This is a high profile opportunity to create a significant corridor for entering Calgary, and/or exiting to the majestic Rocky Mountains and mountain parks to the west. The goal is to have bold, site-specific public artwork integrated into the interchange area.
Budget: $500,000 (all inclusive)
Eligibility: Open to all professional artists based nationally and internationally
Deadline: April 10, 2015 – 4 p.m. (MST)
