Public Art Commission for Cambridge

Deadline: August 26, 2013, 5:00 pm

An opportunity for an experienced artist to produce a significant artwork in the heart of the historical city centre as part of new student accommodation for Trinity Hall College. The project would suit artists with an interest in the exploration of surface and facade treatments, embedded work, enrichment of the building skin, the use of light, as well as relief based sculpture.

Trinity Hall and their architects Freeland Rees Roberts are looking for the involvement of an artist with a proven track record in delivering innovative and well conceived public art who can develop an initial proposal for the commission that will form part of their planning application in October 2013. The subsequent production period for the work is likely to be Summer 2014 with final installation in Winter 2015. The total budget for the project is £73,000.

Deadline for application submissions: 26th August 2013 by 5pm.
