Public Art Commissions, Sheffield City Council

Sheffield City Council is seeking artists for commissions which include physical works and graphic design.

Spital Hill, Burngreave, Sheffield

This is a vibrant multicultural area of the city ten minutes walk from the city centre.  The works are intended to reinforce the physical link between the newly opened Tesco store and the existing local shops and businesses and to speak of the unique character of the local people and place.

Sculpture and Colour - we are looking for an artist to work with local people to design, manufacture and install a series of linked sculptural elements as part of extensive public realm improvements in the area.
Budget: £53,000
Tender Ref (Lot 1): PL03737
Deadline for Tender return: 30 January 2012

Banners and Hoardings - we are looking for an artist to work with local people and traders to produce art works for street banners and an extensive hoarding around an undeveloped site.
Budget £5,000 (there is a separate budget for printing and installation)
Tender Ref (Lot 2): PL03737
Deadline for Tender return: 30 January 2012
