Telford and Wrekin Council are looking for expressions of interest for a £60,000 light based public art commision in Telford, Shropshire.
Key Commission Objectives
- Create high quality contemporary public art using lighting.
- Enhancing the architectural features of the flagship Southwater One building and its immediate surrounds through a site specific light based public art commission.
- To support the development of the towns night time economy by adding an installation that enriches peoples experience of the location at night.
- To support the Destination Telford agenda.
- Use ideas that merge art and technology and ecological considerations – light pollution, energy consumption and maintenance.
