The Downley School: Public Art Commission

The Downley School near High Wycombe are seeking an outstanding public artist to work with their children on a whole-school sculpture project during October and November 2014.
The large primary school which serves a village community close to High Wycombe want pupils to learn about how public art can contribute to local distinctiveness and would like their pupils to commission a sculpture for the school entrance and lead the entire process of selecting an artist and working with an artist to co-design and co-create a permanent public art work.
Artist Specification: skills and experience required
- Excellent at working in partnership with primary aged children and teachers
- Experience of producing high quality 3D public art
- Able to engage with our values and ethos
