Brighton Photo Biennial 2012 - Agents Of Change: Photography and the Politics of Space
6th October - 4th November

From 6th October until 4th November, urban explorers, drone pilots, squatters and activists will take centre stage for the fifth edition of the Brighton Photo Biennial.

Curated by Photoworks and taking the theme 'of Change: Photography and the Politics of Space', BPB12 asks how is public space constructed, controlled and contested? How is photography implicated in these processes? Looking to recent efforts to politically re-imagine urban space through social and civic uses, BPB12 is concerned with photography as both a tool and a process - a means of understanding the world and an active force in shaping it.

BPB12 will bring together artists, film-makers, photojournalists and collectives in Brighton to form a month-long exploration of thought-provoking photography for everyone.
