Edinburgh Art Festival Commissions Programme 2015

Edinburgh Art Festival has released details of their 2015 Commissions Programme titled 'The Improbable City', which has been inspired by Italo Calvino's novel Invisible Cities. The festival runs from the 30th of July to the 30th of August 2015.
Alongside the rich programme of exhibitions organised by their partner galleries, each year the festival commissions new work by leading and emerging artists, with a special emphasis on publicly sited projects throughout the city.
The 2015 programme also includes a new initiative for early career artists. Platform: 2015 is a new annual platform dedicated to showcasing work by artists at the beginning of their careers.
