Marsh Award 2013
Date uploaded: February 18, 2013
On behalf of the Marsh Christian Trust, the Public Monuments and Sculpture Association (PMSA) administers three annual awards:
- The Marsh Award for Excellence in Public Sculpture is offered for a sculpture installed in a public place within the last 18 months.
- The Marsh Award for Excellence in Public Fountains is offered for a fountain commissioned within the last 5 years.
- The Marsh Award for Excellence in Restoration is offered for a restoration of an existing work, reflecting a core activity of the PMSA and an essential aspect of guardianship.
Each award may be won outright or shared. The awards are presented at a ceremony in London in November. They seek to acknowledge and commend excellence, to increase awareness and discussion of public sculpture and fountains and to celebrate new work that demonstrates originality, aesthetic quality and sensitivity to its site.
Nominations and submissions for the 2013 Marsh Awards are invited from artists, designers, conservators, architects and members of the public.
