Art on the Underground’s mission is to provide a world-class programme of contemporary art that enriches the Tube environment and creates extraordinary experiences for Londoners. The Art on the Underground programme includes temporary and permanent commissions across a variety of media. Current Commissions include Trevor Paglen’s An English Landscape (American Surveillance Base near Harrogate, Yorkshire) at Gloucester Road Tube Station, Richard Wentworth’s When You Look You May Not See, a Tube network-wide poster commission, and the new Tube Map cover 'The Hole of London' by Rachel Whiteread.
