On February 5th 2009 Russia unveiled its first site-specific sculpture by a major international artist. Spanish artist Jaume Plensa’s eight-metre-high House of Knowledge was installed in front of the Federation Tower - which when complete will be Europe’s tallest building.
The stainless steel sculpture is composed of Cyrillic letters of the Russian alphabet, and stands directly in front of the entrance to the new Grand Hyatt Hotel.
