The Marsh Award for Excellence in Public Sculpture 2012
The Marsh Christian Trust and the Public Monuments and Sculpture Association (PMSA) invite nominations for the Marsh Award for Excellence in Public Sculpture 2012. The £1,750 award can be won outright or shared, by a newly commissioned public sculpture or restoration (unveiled or completed since 30th October 2010). The Marsh Award for Excellence in Public Sculpture is the main award for public sculpture for the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. It seeks to promote awareness and dialogue about public sculpture and celebrates new works that show originality, artistic quality and merit, and a concern for their setting. Awards are also made to high quality, appropriate and sensitive restorations of existing works. With this in mind we invite nominations for the 2012 Marsh Award for Excellence in Public Sculpture. For the 2012 Award, sculptures or restorations must have been unveiled between 30th October 2010 and the closing date for nominations, 30th March 2012.
