Yorkshire Sculpture Park: Kyiv Sculpture Project
To coincide with Euro 2012 in Ukraine and Poland, Yorkshire Sculpture Park is co-curating the first festival of sculpture in Kyiv.
Sited in Kyiv's National Botanical Garden and overlooking the Dnipro River, the festival opened on 2nd June and runs until 2nd July 2012. The YSP Special Project area features Jaume Plensa, Magdalena Abakanowicz, Sui Jianguo, Eva Rothschild, and more. YSP Director of Programme Clare Lilley and Curator Dr Helen Pheby will both give papers for the Festival's learning programme.
The project is in collaboration with Igor Voronov, Founder of Voronov Art Foundation in Kyiv and supported by Kyiv City State Administration.
