Secret Garden Project, Lewisham
Date uploaded: July 23, 2014
On Saturday the 20th of September 2014, UP Projects invites guests to join them to celebrate the end of the Secret Garden Project in Lewisham, with a day of free workshops and talks; as their 18 month programme draws to a close.
Rebecca Beinart will launch her new publication featuring herbal remedies shared by local residents, whilst water charity Thames 21 will explore who has checked-in at the Klassnik Corporations Fish Hotel. In the south of the borough, Henry Krokatsis will offer reflection on his permanent sculpture Turning Tree and Close and Remote will take visitors on a digital journey through Riverpool Linear Park.
Creating a trail along the Waterlink Way, these commissions will encourage local residents and visitors to explore new areas by walking or cycling a route that rarely touches roads or built up areas.
The Secret Garden Project Lewisham was commissioned in partnership with Lewisham Council and funded by Arts Council England.
