Eastside Projects presents M6, a new commission by Mike Nelson. M6 is a sculptural installation - an alteration of Eastside Projects’ main gallery using materials from the M6 motorway that feeds Birmingham via the famous forty year old Spaghetti Junction. M6 is Nelson’s first major exhibition in his home region and continues his investigation of political histories through the raw materials of our world.
Mike Nelson represented Britain at the 54th Venice Biennale in 2011 and has twice been nominated for the Turner Prize: in 2001, and again in 2007.
