Date uploaded: January 29, 2014

Friday 28th February 2014

Nottingham Light Night will take place on Friday 28th February and there will be an opportunity to come to the city and see newly commissioned art works from emerging artists in the East Midlands. The commissions have been funded by Arts Council England and they will be on the street alongside other installations and activities. Nottingham City Council are calling this work 1 of 4 – 2014. Nottingham Castle will be themed with installations and other activities that will reflect and evoke images and sounds associated with the first World War as Nottingham kicks starts its WW1 commemorations in this centenary year. Visitors will be able to take a secret tour of the city’s underground caves using an iphone/ipad or android devise. You will need to load a QR reader and the Aurasma app (both free) to be able to undertake this secret tour.

There will be an opportunity to network with officers from other cities as part of this event.
