Nowhereisland is on its way!

The South West Journey: Weymouth

Be the first to see Nowhereisland and welcome the new nation to Weymouth, site of the London 2012 Olympic sailing events. It will be moored in Bowleaze Cove with its Embassy parked on Furzy Cliff from Wednesday 25 July to Thursday 2 August. The visiting island nation will be present for the opening of the Olympic sailing events and the Cultural Olympiad programme in Weymouth, prior to its epic journey around the south west coast over six weeks.

Wednesday 25th July: Welcome the Nation
Everyone is invited to welcome Nowehereisland as it arrives into Weymouth. The welcome begins with free workshops at nearby community halls at 11am, followed by a citizen march to Furzy Cliff to watch the island arrive from 1pm.

Live music and performance from 1pm. Bring a picnic. To find out more and book places on one of the workshops and to join the citizen march, email [email protected] or call 0117 930 4282.

Nowhereisland will stay in Weymouth until Thursday 2 August with The Embassy open 12-5pm daily. Meet The Ambassadors, become a citizen, explore the curious mobile museum and hear the stories of Nowhereisland.
