Still Walking, a first-of-its-kind walking festival in Birmingham by artist and historian Ben Waddington.
Still Walking brings you a celebration of all that walking experiences are and can be.
The festival programme covers an amazing variety of walks, tours and other events for you to take part in. There are artists, architects, historians and lovers waiting to show you Birmingham in a new light.
Some of the walks are stationary, some happen on bicycles. Some will make you look, others will make you listen. All, they hope, will make you think…
Still Walking was conceived in 2011 by artist/historian/typophile/tour guide Ben Waddington after it became apparent that if he wanted a festival of interesting walking tours he would have to organise it himself.
The 2012 Still Walking festival takes place between March 15th and April 1st.
Still Walking is made possible by a legion of guides, a cohort of volunteers, generous support from various organisations and, of course, you the Still Walkers.
