The Last Days of Nowhereisland

Nowhereisland arrives in Bristol on 7th September - the final stop on its epic journey around the South West (www.nowhereisland.org). The Last Days of Nowhereisland is a programme of talks, performances and artist films marking the final weekend of the island nation.
Saturday 8th September
A DAY OF PERFORMANCES, TALKS AND DEBATE

Featuring: Philip Hoare, writer; Richard Noble, scholar and editor of Documents of Contemporary Art: Utopia; Tim Etchells, artist and Director of Forced Entertainment; Olof Olsson, performance artist; Salena Godden, poet and performer; Alex Hartley, Nowhereisland artist; Tim Cresswell, Professor of Human Geography at Royal Holloway, University of London and Claire Doherty, Director, Situations, producers of Nowhereisland.

Tertulia, in response to Nowhereisland
Associates Space, Spike Island
Six writers, artists and researchers offer personal responses to Nowhereisland in a salon-style discussion event exploring connections between habitation and wilderness, belonging and isolation. Contributors include artists Marie Toseland and Sam Hasler, and writers Amy Mason, Laura Mansfield and Nancy Campbell. Tertulia is a regular event for people working with or interested in language, writing and dialogue across disciplines. Founded by Phil Owen and Megan Wakefield, it is based in Bristol and currently supported by Arnolfini and Spike Island.
Free but booking required. Donations accepted for tea and cake!
