Art and the New Town
Part of the Art in the City Lecture Series, every Wednesday at 6.00pm
Designed and built after the war, and entirely master-planned by Sir Frederick Gibberd, Harlow possesses the largest municipal collection of post war sculpture in Britain. It is an example of an urban design project driven by interlinked ideas of culture, democracy and community.
Art and the New Town was a series of temporary visual art projects curated for Harlow by artist Roman Vasseur who will discuss this and his role as Lead Artist for the town.
