Arts Award and young people in health settings seminar

An afternoon seminar to explore the benefits and challenges of using Arts Award in health and wellbeing contexts will take place at Southwark Cathedral on 19th June. Presentations from Chelsea Community Hospital Schools and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust will frame an event which will also provide information about Arts Award and opportunities to consider how Arts Award could add value to current work with children and young people.

Presentations from Chelsea Community Hospital Schools and Sussex NHS Trust (CAMHS)

For health and arts professionals working with children and young people aged up to 25 in health settings including:

  • hospital school and CAMHS teachers, practitioners and managers
  • arts therapists
  • artists and arts organisations, agencies and organisations supporting children and young people with health issues,
  • life-limiting illness and mental health conditions

As well as a valuable chance to network, there will be:

Information - get to grips with what’s involved in Arts Award, and practicalities of running it.

Inspiration - hear from peers who have completed Arts Award with young people And how it has added to their therapeutic work.

Reflection - have time to consider how Arts Award could add value to your work with children and young people.

Please note this seminar is free to attend but places are strictly limited. For this reason no shows/cancellations within 2 weeks may result in a £20 cancellation charge.
