BEAM: Summer programme of professional development events

BEAM is running a summer programme of professional development events for the Yorkshire region, exploring the latest thinking and activity in place-making.
The Orangery Academy focuses on key issues relating to policy, community involvement, design and the arts in response to the current and future challenges and opportunities of place-making. This programme is brought to you by Beam in collaboration with IntegreatPLUS (previously Integreat Yorkshire).
All events will be held at The Grade II Listed Orangery located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
The Academy sessions will:
- Begin with a light lunch
- Be creative, informative and informal
- Be open to Local Authority officers & members, arts and built environment professionals, community leaders, activists & anyone interested in finding out the latest thinking in placemaking
- Include innovative case studies
- Facilitate discussion, debate, networking and knowledge-sharing
- Inspire and equip participants to tackle the current challenges in place-making
- Conclude with afternoon cream tea in The Orangery Gardens!
